We have an opportunity for a Sr Supply Chain Planner at our location in the Parsippany, NJ. The Supply Planner supports the control tower process for an assigned portfolio of products.  The Supply Planner is relied upon to maintain a holistic understanding of the demand and supply dynamics affecting the assigned product portfolio.


  1. Facilitate routine (twice weekly at a minimum) huddles among the assigned manufacturing site and commercial peers.  The huddles are short term planning reviews having two goals. The first goal is to identify root causes of service level failures.  The second goal is assure short term balance of supply and demand in the short term.  The huddle outputs are a historical fact base of supply and demand concerns that facilitate awareness among key stakeholders of planning (e.g. commercial ops, marketing, manufacturing sites, finished goods suppliers) in a format that is amenable to escalation to senior management.
  2. Facilitate the analytical support required for assessing lead times and product availability for new business opportunities through collaboration with site planning representatives.
  3. Provides support for control tower meetings including the demand review, supply and demand alignment, and weekly performance review.
  4. Conduct reviews with site representation of near-term and mid-term impact to supply plans due to supply concerns.
  5. Participate in weekly supply and demand alignment meetings.  The goal of the supply and demand alignment forum is to discuss items from the demand review that are not able to be resolved during the planning process.
  6. Perform weekly analytical review of planning metrics including a review of:  service level deviation from target, key sources of service failures, key product drivers of service performance, inventory position (e.g. potential excess, products at risk of stockout), weeks of supply trending, inventory trending.  The analysis requires both a quantitative as well as a qualitative analysis based on outputs and outcomes of the various forums facilitated by the incumbent.
  7. Maintains inventory at optimum levels via routine review of planning parameters.
  8. Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  9. Other projects and duties as required/assigned.


Education Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Required Experience:  5+ years experience in Supply Chain or related field.  Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Visio.


Preferred Experience:  Oracle or SAP experience or other ERP experience, Oracle Discover experience a plus. 

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:  APICS Certification preferred.


Functional Knowledge:  ORACLE, Oracle Discover, Oracle Business Intelligence, MDM, Experience with ERP systems, and Microsoft platform applications.
