A process expert who implements, supports, and manages practices and projects that improve quality, reliability, and efficiency. The position blends a working knowledge of equipment, processes, and management systems with an understanding of lean concepts to drive standardization, simplification, and efficiency into the culture.
Lead continuous improvement/lean initiatives to improve performance indicating metrics
Develops systems that promote end-user understanding and interpretation of data
Leads problem solving / root cause analysis initiatives to eliminate defects and waste; leads implementation of subsequent preventive actions
Trains technicians and mechanics on lean concepts, zero loss culture, ownership culture, and equipment operating principles relevant to job function
Creates and maintains equipment and process troubleshooting guides, operating procedures and equipment settings
Tracks results and reports on quantifiable goals and objectives
Analyzes future projects from financial, throughput, lead-time and performance improvement perspectives to assist in the prioritization of effort
Follows approved safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 7 years operations experience in a technical role
In-depth understanding of lean concepts; former reliability engineering role
Strong Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Demonstrates the ability to informally lead in a team based culture and work comfortably across all personnel levels.
Ability to handle and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Specialized or Technical knowledge, licenses, certifications needed:
Proficient in computer applications including MS Office
Required to occasionally wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, powered air purifying respirator, gloves, etc.
Occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
