The Manager of Business Analytics is responsible for providing market, product, and customer analyses to key decision-makers in the US Generics sector.  The role will collaborate with members of the US Generics commercial team to understand and report on the underlying dynamics of the generics environment to support business growth, strategic initiatives, successful product launch/development, and maximize profitability.


Provides analytical direction and identifies areas of opportunity to US Generics Marketing, Directors of National Accounts (DNAs), and Finance Operations using SAP HANA datawarehouse, SAP Business Objects.  Responsible for determining KPIs and report structure.


Develops profitability models, analyzes data, identifies areas of improvement, and recommends solutions and improvements. Develops financial analysis of potential new and in-line products.


Develop and utilize metrics and reports to benchmark and track performance of base in-line and new products, in coordination with product managers and forecasting teams


Analyze, identify, and evaluate root causes of high variances in trends and anomalies of customer and product sales/profitability for the generic portfolio, and advise management in order to develop tactical and strategic decision-making


Respond timely to ad hoc research and data requests from internal and external clients, such as conducting market assessments of profitability of products, customers, programs.


Proactively investigate opportunities for process improvements, value enhancements, and new sources of primary and secondary intelligence




Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Administration, or a related field


Experience Required:   7+ years of experience in a business analysis, market research, marketing, or competitive intelligence role 

Experience Preferred:  

Progressive responsibilities in a business analysis, marketing, or competitive intelligence role in a pharmaceutical or life sciences company

Knowledge of Sales & Marketing practices, trends and applications in the pharmaceutical industry

Market research methodology, practices, modeling and techniques.

Principles of mathematical and statistical computations, and budgets and financial plans.


Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:  

Proficiency in MS Office; SAP HANA
