Responsibilities

Summary: Under general supervision, maintains personal contact with key customers, promotes company growth and increase sales dollars by using effective sales presentations, customer services and account management within a book of business.

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Grow and maintain business within the pharmacy market. Increase customer spend and frequency.
  • Determine most profitable ordering platform based on individual customer.
  • Develops business plan for assigned book of business that is consistent with the Company’s sales plans, strategies and objectives.
  • Maintains and builds business by focusing on current key customers and potential customers.
  • Maximizes sales and contribution goals.
  • Implements Company pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Conducts quality sales presentations to all targeted customers.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Completes administrative responsibilities, as required, on time and with minimal errors.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Standard office procedures, practices and protocols, including standard phone functions.
  • Sales principles, practices and applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Teva products and competitor products.
  • Product and industry specific information.
  • Promotions, Sales, and Marketing strategies.
  • Mathematical and statistical computations.
  • English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Computer systems and software applications.
  • Current Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Skill in:

  • Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources.
  • Delivering sales messages and implementing marketing programs effectively.
  • Preparing clear and concise administrative reports.
  • Working independently, or as a team member.
  • Managing multiple projects, duties and assignments.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive customer rapport.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, hearing and vision within normal range, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and FAX machines regularly in the course of work. Work is performed in an office environment. Noise level in this environment is within the normal range.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and one (1) to two (2) years demonstrated successful Sales/Marketing experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
