Position Summary


Lead site activities and be accountable for operational results as defined by EHS, quality, service and cost, providing Teva with a competitive advantage.



Main Responsibilities & Deliverables


Support Teva’s Corporate Goals

Understand & contribute to the achievement of Teva’s goals at the regional and global levels.


Meet all Required Goals

Achieve required goals as committed to by the site, while ensuring global and regional strategic and operational plans are carried out at site level.


Drive Excellence and Innovation

Improve business results and create site competitiveness by improving processes using OPEX principles and tools and seeking business value.


Represent Teva in the Site

Within the site, serve as the voice of the company to all site employees, and as their direct line of contact back to senior Teva leadership.


Represent Teva Externally

Represent, with corporate approval, Teva to local (and country) authorities and community leaders and, in some places, customers.


Ensure Clarity of Responsibilities & Processes

Make sure the responsibilities of all site roles and those with whom they interact are clear and aligned. Manage adherence to processes and lead resolution of conflicts.


Manage the Matrix

Ensure that the site situation and capabilities are understood and aligned in all regional and global activities.


Lead all Site Staff

Define leadership in the site and lead all Site staff, both directly and indirectly, to ensure that responsibilities at all levels are met.


Manage Change

Drive changes and manage the process of change throughout the site.


Talent Performance & Development

Coach and develop talent in the leadership team and set an example for all managers and their staff.


Drive Employee Engagement and Enablement

Motivate employees and ensure they are fully enabled, involved in, and enthusiastic about their work.







Relevant scientific academic background (pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, engineering).  Business degree required.




Basic understanding of the Teva portfolio and practical experience in the relevant technologies.

Adequate practical experience working in a regulated production facility (production and/or packaging.

Adequate experience in balancing business needs, cost and market considerations, regulatory compliance, global network.

Basic experience in a global function – gaining a perspective broader than the plant.

Advanced experience in regulatory inspections, investigations and discussions/ interactions with regulatory bodies.

Comprehensive experience working in multiple plants, within different regions and with different technologies, if possible.

Industry networking experience - membership in trade associations - leverage thought leadership and next practices within Teva environment.

Expert level knowledge and experience with OPEX behaviors, principles and tools, with a demonstrated successful OPEX transformational leadership.


Professional Knowledge


Basic understanding of the relevant science and pharmaceutical processes at the site.

Basic knowledge and understanding of process, technology, quality issues etc.

Basic understanding of all disciplines represented on the site leadership team.

Basic cross-functional understanding in multiple related disciplines (quality & supply chain as core, others important but not required).

Advanced knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical operations.

Advanced knowledge of cGMP, ICH and local regulations.

Deep Knowledge of the Pharma industry, market trends, market dynamics and competitive intelligence.

Basic understanding of the global supply chain and pipeline.Adequate knowledge in validation.

Adequate understanding of environment, health and safety (EHS) as it relates to the site.

Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle.

Advanced knowledge and/or experience in product and tech transfer.


Basic understanding of local employment laws and regulations and labor relations practices.
