Teva Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Corporate tax team.  The primary focus of the Senior Tax Analyst is the coordination of the tax compliance and tax provision process including the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns for assigned legal entities.  In this role, the analyst will also be responsible for the analysis and review of accounting activity to determine proper tax treatment, research and respond to ad hoc questions from internal customers and assist with state and federal audits.  The Senior Tax Analyst will have continued professional development through exposure to a variety of complex federal, state and local technical issues.  Candidates must be able to work in a detailed and independent manner.

Travel requirements: Less than 5%


  • Prepare federal, state and local tax returns and workpapers as required to ensure timely compliance with tax laws and regulations for assigned legal entities.
  • Preparation of Quarterly Income Tax Provision (ASC 740) workpapers and assistance with consolidating schedules.
  • Track and monitor state tax receivables and payables for assigned legal entities.  Work to recover any open receivables with state agencies as deemed necessary.
  • Responsible for the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and extension requests for assigned legal entities.
  • Responsible for the tracking of state net operating loss carryforwards and assist in the determination of whether a valuation allowance is warranted.
  • Take lead in ongoing state tax audits including compiling information for the auditor, drafting responses to IDRs, and communicating directly with the auditor.
  • Respond to state and local tax notices.
  • Research and document tax positions as needed.
  • Monitor tax regulations and any law changes that may impact the company and communicate with team members.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of opportunities to automate tax provision and compliance proceses and procedures.




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required


  • 3+ years in Public Accounting and/or large multinational corporate tax department required
  • Pharmaceutical or similar industry experience a plus

Specialized or Technical Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Federal and multi-state income tax concepts
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, Onesource and Tax Research Software
  • Strong communication and analytica skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, team and partnering skills
  • Ability to act independently and take ownership of assigned areas
